Judge Reva Goetz

Judge Reva Goetz began her career at the University of California, Los Angeles. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, Judge Reva Goetz held numerous auditing and accounting jobs in public and private sectors before enrolling at the Whittier Law School. While attending law school on a part-time basis, Judge Reva Goetz worked full-time as a Controller and Financial Analyst for Diners Club Carte Blanche and was Editor of the Whittier Law Review. Graduating with honors, Judge Goetz earned her Juris Doctor and was admitted to The State Bar of California in 1982. Following one year working for a private practice in business and tax law, Judge Reva Goetz joined the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. During seven years as a Deputy District Attorney, she spent two years in the Major Fraud Division before accepting a position with the Los Angeles Superior Court. Judge Goetz has spent nearly 20 years as a Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner. Focusing on family law from 2001 to 2007, she has been in the Probate Department since 2007. Currently a Judge for Los Angeles Superior Court, she continues to serve the citizens of Los Angeles in the Probate Department. She was recently profiled in the Daily Journal, Los Angeles' legal newspaper.
