Judith F. Bradshaw
Actor, writer, director, teacher in New York
I suppose I am officially a New Yorker - since I have lived here longer than I have lived anywhere else...but you just can't take the mid-west outta me! Or so it seems...I grew up in Webster Groves, MO and still love the "Cards"!
Ruling words:
The world of spirit and the world of man...the thin film that separates these is profoundly real and profoundly permeable...
Ruling activity:
spirit, art and work
I am an actor that is fortunate to do what I love and love what do, including my "day job" (or should I say, afternoon job...I work with kids one on one as a tutor)
I have performed in Tokyo, Madrid, London and NYC, and various other parts of the USA where I also taught workshops.Besides more traditional scripted roles I spent years creating performance art piecesfor various events and venues.
I wrote scripts for 11 musicals for family audiences as part of the Summer Musical Theater Workshop at Merkin Hall in NYC. A trilogy of those musicals called " For the Birds" were written with Clay Zambo and are available in an anthology for license & performance by other groups. I have created theater workshops for both teenagers and young adults (not together) in which they created performance pieces based on topics of interest to them. These workshops included various types of instruction: a brief history of the theater, basic acting skills and taking improvised scenes a step further to create scripts.
