Adaku Ekwueme is a Nigerian product manager, operations leader, and cofounder passionate about expanding access to finance for underserved communities. She is the Chief Operations Officer at SUBA Capital, a product-led membership platform that enables professionals, small business owners, and smallholder farmers to save, invest, and access affordable credit.

Adaku combines strong product thinking with operational excellence, leading cross-functional teams across technology and business to build solutions that are both practical and impactful. Her work focuses on simplifying financial access through digital tools, including group savings, low-ticket investments, and loan services tailored to informal and emerging markets.

In 2024, she was selected as a Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative Fellow, a prestigious leadership program by the U.S. Consulate that equips young Nigerians with the skills, networks, and resources to drive social impact. Through this experience, she deepened her commitment to community development, mentorship, and policy-focused engagement for informal workers.

Adaku’s passion is deeply rooted in lived experience, having witnessed firsthand the challenges small businesses face in accessing capital and managing finances. This drives her mission to build systems that help individuals grow sustainable businesses through consistent saving and smarter financial practices.

Beyond her role at SUBA Capital, she actively contributes to ecosystem building by mentoring young professionals, organizing startup and innovation events, and advocating for financial literacy and inclusive economic growth across Africa.
