Ravin is the President and Founder of Accents International (Est. 2014), where she and her team teach non-native English speakers how to pronounce the sounds in English that do not exist in other languages. English pronunciation is hard. It’s not the person. It’s the language, and it often prevents people from engaging in effective knowledge transfer. Ravin’s clients master English pronunciation and communicate with accuracy and ease while maintaining their unique cultural identity.
Ravin is the author of three English pronunciation textbooks for rapid language acquisition. Ravin holds a BA from The University of Wisconsin (1988) and an MA from The University of Michigan (1992). She’s taught English pronunciation at Cornell University, State University of New York – Albany, The University of Michigan, Tennessee State University, The U.S. Defense Language Institute, The ALEA School International Baccalaureate School, the New England Center for the Child, and NATO (both U.S. and international command centers).
