Judy Ravin

For over twenty-five years, Judy Ravin has been helping experts who speak English as an additional language convey their expertise with clarity, confidence, and impact. She is one of the founders of the American Accent Training industry and the leading expert in Accent Reduction classes, Accent Comprehension training, and Accent Reduction: Train-the-Trainer programs.

Ravin is the President and Founder of Accents International (Est. 2014), where she and her team teach non-native English speakers how to pronounce the sounds in English that do not exist in other languages. English pronunciation is hard. It’s not the person. It’s the language, and it often prevents people from engaging in effective knowledge transfer. Ravin’s clients master English pronunciation and communicate with accuracy and ease while maintaining their unique cultural identity.

Ravin is the author of three English pronunciation textbooks for rapid language acquisition. Using the Ravin Method® to empower others, she’s earned international recognition for helping Fortune 500 corporations, leading health systems, university and high school faculty, and NATO create high performance teams. Ravin has enabled thousands of non-native English speakers to quickly transform their communication, advance their career, and lead with impact.

Ravin holds a BA from The University of Wisconsin (1988) and an MA from The University of Michigan (1992). She’s taught English pronunciation at Cornell University, State University of New York – Albany, The University of Michigan, Tennessee State University, The U.S. Defense Language Institute, The ALEA School International Baccalaureate School, the New England Center for the Child, and NATO (both U.S. and international command centers).
