A certified interior designer since 1998, Julie Cavanaugh founded Design Matters in 2000. Working with a skilled design team, architects, and engineers, she aims to tell a cohesive story that flows from room to room. She communicates closely with clients to ensure each room meets their needs, both functionally and aesthetically. Currently, Julie Cavanaugh is working on Sagebrush, a 90-unit apartment building in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
A regular contributor to various design and architecture magazines, Ms. Cavanaugh has also shared her keen eye for design and creative problem solving as a guest designer on HGTV. She was named by Gentry Magazine as a Top 10 Designer to Watch, and received an Award of Excellence for kitchen design from the American Society of Interior Designers.
Ms. Cavanaugh studied at San Jose State University, and completed her interior design studies at West Valley College. A member of various professional organizations, she belongs to the American Society of Interior Designers and is a Certified Green Building Professional.
