Jussara Nunes Pereira de Souza
Consultant, Photographer, and Photo books author in the Netherlands
For those who might want to know a bit more about me, here are some highlights.
I have been active internationally on the fields of managerial effectiveness in multicultural teams, coaching and assessment as well as leadership effectiveness, especially when cultural diversity plays a role.
After some 25 years practicing on those areas I’m re-inventing myself bringing my creative side more to the foreground, working to combine my current work in photography and art in general with my experience in cultural diversity. Art was always with me and is becoming more and more central in my life.
In Brazil, where I was born and raised, I graduated in psychology and pedagogy and studied fine arts. After working as part of some organizations I started running my own company in training, coaching and executive search. As a consultant, I have provided services to international companies operating in Brazil and worked also in cooperation with the Management Systems International to implement the UN Program for Entrepreneurship Development (Empretec) in the country.
Moving with my family to the Netherlands several years ago I started working as a consultant for The Tropical Institute (KIT) in Amsterdam, for Professor Hofstede's consultancy ITIM International and for the UK consultancy The Oxford Group. In parallel I studied photography, produced six photo books (available at Amazon) and I have been exhibiting my artwork in Brazil, Greece, Holland, France, Poland and Portugal.
My most recent project is a book about Dutch popular expressions using my photography to convey the Dutch values. The book is called "See What the Dutch Say" and was written in partnership with three other authors: Allete Vonk, Fernando Lanzer and Juanita Wijnands.
I am fortunate to have the opportunity to travel to different countries. My passion for culture, people, art and photography drives me to continuously share the experiences I gathered traveling. Translating them into images allows me to contribute with my little drop in stimulating global understanding.
