Juventino Avila

370 5th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

Taking advantage of the diverse, multi-ethnic culinary experience of its founder, Brooklyn, New York's Juventino restaurant has emerged as an outstanding dining option in the area. With a menu ranging from Scottish salmon to duck-breast tacos with handmade tortillas, the variety of cuisine shares the common foundation of high-quality, well-prepared ingredients .

Juventino the restaurant takes its name from its chef and founder, Juventino Avila, who moved to Brooklyn when he was only two, but often returned to his native Mexico and his grandparents' farm. There, his appreciation for fresh, quality ingredients in simple meals grew. Later, as a professional cook, he ascended the ranks of the culinary world with experiences at renowned restaurants featuring cuisines ranging from Nuevo Latino dishes to fresh Florida seafood.

In 2009, Juventino Avila brought this array of experience together by opening Juventino, his namesake restaurant. Open for brunch and dinner, Juventino's menu is as diverse as Mr. Avila's cooking experience. At brunch for example, diners looking for more traditional breakfast fare can choose from options such as steak-and-eggs with grass-fed wagyu beef or huevos rancheros featuring handmade tortillas inspired by the recipe of Mr. Avila's mother. Juventino guests hungry for something more appropriate to lunchtime can choose from traditional "comfort food" ranging from a simple macaroni and cheese with a sauce mornay to a rich pork belly with truffle cream and yuzu marmalade. Juventino's dinner guests can choose from a wide-ranging menu that includes everything from Australian lamb and Arctic char to a full cheeseboard and oyster menu. To complement diners' meals, Juventino features a full wine menu and a vast selection of international beers.

Juventino is located at 370 5th Avenue, between 5th and 6th Streets, in Brooklyn's Park Slope. Seasonal garden seating is available for patrons to enjoy while sampling Juventino's fine cuisine.
