Thomas Hegan

My life began on February 20th 2001, in Edmonton. At the young age of two months old, I moved to Vancouver, and almost 16 years later, I was moved to Calgary.

Vancouver developed my love for mountain biking. I am also very interested innew technology, and am even more interested in artificial intelligence (AI) and neuroevolution.

I have learned about myself is that I am very shy, and will only show my opinion if it is on a topic that I am passionate about such as technology, not politics. I have also learned about myself is that I don't put myself out there, and I am more than fine with that.

I believe that in a world of great advancements in technology, we no longer truly have online privacy. The world is basically controlled by large multi billion dollar conglomerates who track your every move, then sell it. People nowadays, people have way more to be concerned about then in the past with anybody being able to see what you do.

I am passionate about new technology, such Intel's new Optane SSD in conjunction with Micron, and the applications it has. I am also passionate about preservation of nature when it interferes with my mountain biking trails.

My current goals are to get through college/university.

I don't have future plans because I feel that I can't predict the future accurately enough to choose a career choice. My choices for future include developing algorithms for AI to learn.
