Kaley Tyne Johnson

interior designer in United States

Interior designer Kaley Tyne Johnson works in a freelance capacity and her job takes her all over the world. Kaley was born in Tampa, Florida on May 12th 1980 and is a graduate of the New York School of Interior Design.

Travel is important to Kaley and her career offers plenty of opportunities for this; she has spent a large part of her professional life in the US, the UK and Canada, but has also worked with clients in many other countries around the globe.

When traveling, either in a personal or professional capacity, Kaley always makes time to explore the local area and get a sense of the culture and traditions of the country she’s visiting. She is a keen seeker of ‘off-the-beaten-path’ experiences.

Like her favorite interior designer Jean-Louis Deniot, Kaley incorporates a concern for the architectural elements of each space in her projects, with a focus on restoring any period features that are present in a property. Architecture has been an enduring area of interest for Kaley, and she has a broad knowledge of the varying architectural styles of different historical periods – something that has been eminently useful in her profession.

When she’s not working, Kaley loves to paddleboard, undertake daily HIIT workouts and practice yoga. She also loves art and attends exhibitions whenever possible; again, the travel inherent in her career gives her the opportunity to appreciate some of the great – and more obscure – artworks of the countries that she visits.
