Exhibitions Manager, Publications Manager, and Artist in Washington, DC

As a professional exhibitions manager, I work as a visual storyteller, creative problem-solver, and logistical management enthusiast. I have managed exhibits on the history of climate science in American government for NOAA Heritage since 2024. Prior to this role, I managed exhibitions and publications at The Phillips Collection, America's first museum of modern art, in a role that went through various transformations over my ten-year tenure. Previously, I worked at the Office of Senate Curator at the US Capitol and as an adjunct art history professor at Northern Virginia Community College. As a graduate student I concurrently held jobs at VCU’s Visual Resource Center and a private fine craft gallery in Richmond, Virginia. I received my master’s degree in Art History: Theory and Criticism from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2010. My thesis was a gender theory analysis of early 20th-century German figurative painting in landscape settings. I live in the Washington, DC area with my musician husband and blind elderly dog. In my time outside work, I enjoy oil and watercolor painting, archery, reading, and making fresh homemade ice cream.
