Kelly Ann Riordan

Pursuing a career in the behavioral health services and education fields, Kelly Ann Riordan currently works in multiple positions. As a teacher’s assistant for The Forum School in Waldwick, New Jersey, she helps facilitate a safe learning environment for a class of nine children with needs not met within the public school system. Kelly Ann Riordan also serves with NewBridge Services as a residential counselor at the A+ group facility. With Broadway Respite and Homecare, LCC, she works as a home health aide and assists adults and children with developmental disorders such as cerebral palsy and Asperger’s syndrome.

Riordan has also helped care for and instruct children between 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 years old as a teacher’s assistant for Apple Montessori School. Complementing her professional roles, she served as a volunteer in the Bergen Regional Medical Center substance abuse ward. Through ARC of Bergen and Passaic, she has passed several certification courses, including Overview of Developmental Disabilities and Prevention of Abuse and Neglect. She earned a bachelor of arts in psychology from William Paterson University and has taken courses toward a master of social work at Rutgers University.

Balancing her career interests, Kelly Riordan is also involved in political, religious, and humanitarian issues. She has participated in such groups as Young Democratic Socialists and Intervarsity Christian Fellowship.
