Kelly Frank

Kelly Frank is Executive Producer for CNN Newsroom based out of the CNN Worldwide Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. Kelly has been with CNN since 2008 working with several anchors including Kyra Phillips, Ali Velshi and Tony Harris. She has also worked on special coverage for hurricanes, politics and the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami with Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer and Soledad O’Brien. Kelly was a part of the team that took home two Peabody Awards for coverage of the 2008 election and the 2010 Gulf Oil spill. Before coming to CNN, Kelly was an Executive Producer with the Washington DC Fox News affiliate, WTTG. She began working there in 2006 as EP of Fox Morning News and moved on to oversee the number one rated 10 and 11pm newscasts. Kelly came to the nation’s capital after 6 years working for various NBC affiliates in Phoenix, Arizona, Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Columbus, Ohio. Kelly’s television career began as a family affair. Her father Bill Frank was host and Executive Producer of Forever Young on The Fox Health Network. She went to work as a production assistant and grew into a contributing producer before moving on to NBC. Kelly spent one year at the University of South Carolina working towards a Masters Degree in 20th Century American Literature and Creative Writing. She graduated from Kentucky Wesleyan College with a BA in English where she attended on a combined academic/athletic scholarship. Kelly was a 2-time All-Ohio, All-League and All-Regional softball player for Bishop Ready High School in Columbus, Ohio. She grew up in southern California in the Orange County suburb of Anaheim Hills. She currently resides in the Virginia Highlands neighborhood of Atlanta with her best buds-- golden retrievers Wilson and Presley.
