Kenny has been the editor-in-chief of a run of the IT industry’s most influential and successful business technology magazines and digital media platforms. He is currently the editor of the first truly global publication for technology leaders, I: Global Intelligence for the CIO, engaging with CIOs, CDOs and other digital budget-holders across 40+ countries worldwide. He is also an editor and co-founder of diginomica, the pioneering insight resource for the digital enterprise.
Earlier he was the founding editor of Information Age and Computer Business Review, and editor-in-chief of Global Technology Business, based in Silicon Valley, where he was also a correspondent for The Times.
As editorial director and member of the board at media and conference group, Infoconomy, he was responsible for the company’s editorial strategy for magazines, conferences and customer publishing initiatives, and co-led its successful exit via its sale to Vitesse Media in 2007.
Kenny has written for the FT, New Scientist, NASDAQ International Magazine and The Observer, and previously built technology and research expertise as a senior software analyst within IDC’s enterprise consulting division and as a software developer within PricewaterhouseCoopers’ IT consulting business.
Kenny was named Editor of the Year for Business Customer Magazines by the British Society of Magazine Editors in both 2010 and 2011.
