Kenny Slaught

Recognized as a real estate leader in Southern California, Kenny Slaught is the founder and president of Investec Real Estate Companies in Santa Barbara. He plays a central role in all operations at the company, which currently includes 40 employees and $750 million in real estate assets under management. Since founding Investec more than 30 years ago, Kenny Slaught has helped the company grow from a small real estate firm into the largest real estate management company in Santa Barbara.

Throughout his career in real estate, Kenny Slaught and his principal partners have acquired and sold more than $1 billion in residential and commercial real estate. He has conducted business in some of the most prominent coastal communities in Southern California, from San Diego and Los Angeles to San Luis Obispo and Ventura counties. He has secured approvals for 25 housing developments in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo, on which he has overseen the construction and sale of more than 1,000 residential properties.

Before taking up his current responsibilities with Investec, Kenny Slaught obtained his bachelor of arts in business and economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he played on the varsity basketball team for three years. After completing his bachelor’s degree, he went on to pass the California Real Estate Broker licensing exam and began working in Santa Barbara real estate.

Aside from his work in real estate, Kenny Slaught serves on the board of nonprofit organizations such as the Storyteller Children’s Center and the Dream Foundation. He currently resides in Santa Barbara with his wife Elizabeth.
