Born and raised in the the mythical, but very real, North County area of St. Louis. I live, work and enjoy life in Phoenix after stops in Columbia, Mo (studied journalism at the University of Missouri) and Shreveport, LA.

Professionally, I'm a Regional Sales Director (Interim Director of Inside Sales - but recently offered to permanently take the position) for Team Velocity Marketing, a data and technology company. I get to work with the leading minds in the automotive and digital media landscape. A majority of my career has been spent in various roles in newspaper advertising and marketing departments. Prior to joining Team Velocity in January 2016, I managed large, national automotive retailers for Cars.com. , I worked 12 years exclusively with digital media assets of The Arizona Republic. I've worked with the smallest of advertisers when people barely knew how to turn on a computer to the largest of advertisers with sophisticated tracking and engagement metrics and tools.

Phoenix has been home for 22 years and I'm one of the rare breeds that actually lives downtown. I'm married to Zuzana (Zuzka/Zuzanka) Kocourkova and we have an amazing three year old, Anna. I would really like to get off the road so much and spend much more time with both of them. I met Zuzanka in 2006 while traveling in the Czech Republic. We met through a mutual friend who was living in CR at the time. Zuzanka has a PHD in genetics, but currently stays home with Anna while working on research. Zuzanka and I enjoy the outdoors (camping, backpacking and hiking), cooking, enjoying a growing wine collection, fine Czech style pilsner, reading and, of course, traveling. I've recently gotten the sailing bug and may soon be doing a little more of that if time permits. Zuzanka's mother and sister live in Brno, Czech Rep. St. Louis is home to my brother, sister, nieces and nephew.
