Kevin Davis

Kevin Davis is CEO and Executive Director of the Investigative News Network (INN), a growing consortium of 60 nonprofit newsrooms that produce non-partisan investigative and public interest journalism.

Davis oversees INN’s efforts to promote sustainability of the organization’s member organizations, while increasing the impact of their content through collaboration.

Davis is also responsible for business development for the Network and was responsible for architecting a global syndication deal with Thomson Reuters on behalf of the member organizations.

Davis is a former digital publisher with more than 16 years of experience in strategic development and growth of news and media organizations. He was previously responsible for operations at such Los Angeles-based news organizations as Variety.com, Hollywood.com and TheWrap.com.

A frequent lecturer and publis speaker, Davis has talked about the nonprofit investigative journalism sector at the Online News Association, the State Environmental Leadership Program conference, USC’s Annenberg School of Communication & Journalism, the University of Colorado, Boulder - where he was the 2011 Hearst Professional in Residence - and LSU’s School of Mass Communication, where he accepted the 2011 Manship Prize on behalf of INN.

Davis also participated in the October 3rd, 2011 FCC field event on “The Information Needs of Communities” at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Arizona State University.

Davis lives in Bell Canyon, California, with his wife and two children.
