Kevin Miller

Hey Everyone!

My name is Kevin Miller and I graduated from Georgetown University in 2013. I am originally from Daytona Beach, FL and have many fond memories of growing up in the Sunshine state. At Georgetown, I played point guard for Georgetown's club basketball team, I was a member of the Entrepreneurship Fellowship on campus and I was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Outside of school, I love to go boating, skiing, wake boarding, anything water related, really. I also enjoy working out and spending time with my best friends. Basketball is my favorite sport and my favorite teams are the Georgetown Hoyas & the Orlando Magic.

Following graduation, I joined a 12 person team at MessageMe (True ventures, a16z, social + capital partnership funded company) to help out with marketing and user acquisition. Several months down the road, MessageMe was acqui-hired by Yahoo! and following that acquisition of our core engineering talent, I found a job at Google doing Adwords Sales. I spent two fantastic years at Google in account management (farming role) as well as New Business Sales (hunting role). I feel that these two paradoxical experiences within sales have uniquely helped to cultivate necessary skills that will serve me well in my future business endeavors.

Most recently, I made the tough decision to quit Google and follow my dream of becoming a talented growth marketer. To assist with cultivating these skills, I am currently enrolled in Tradecraft which is an in-person, immersive training program for growth marketing. The program has been designed by industry-leading experts to ensure that graduates exit with both the depth and breadth of knowledge needed to make meaningful contributions at a high-growth startup. Tradecraft partners with startups to give members opportunities to work on important projects and gain hands-on experience.

Overall, my desire to become a technology entrepreneur stems from my I love of creating new products/services that elevate the quality of life for those who surround me.
