Affectionately called King Midas because of the inventive golden touch he adds to every track, neither he nor the sound he adds to every musical work he handles can easily be ignored.Midas, born in 1986, has always been musical. Growing up in Baltimore MD, and surrounded by a musical family. In his early years, Midas was influenced by his brother Joshua "Jay-O" Lay and his father Larry Lay. Says Midas, "My big brother pushed me to excel in playing almost every basic band instrument. Eventually, that made me want to pursue studio production, to combine those sounds to ultimately get the exact feeling I wanted out of the music". So, naturally, in 2005, Midas and his brother Jay-O founded Left Brain Productions.
