Kirk Porter is President of Avitus Technology Services, formerly CEO and President of Altitude Technologies LLC, founded in 2009. Starting out as a Microsoft Certified Engineer, Kirk excelled at client relations and sound technology solutions which resulted in quickly climbing the value ladder with clients and his employers. Kirk spent over seven years as the Director of Infrastructure Services for a top 20 accounting firm building a services portfolio, delivery teams and go-to-market strategies. During that time Kirk successfully achieved Gold Partner status with Microsoft (http://www.matr.net/article-21394.html), an accreditation that is not easily achieved.
In 2009 Kirk saw the economic downturn as his opportunity to start a business based on saving companies 20 – 40% on technology costs and has grown rapidly since. Today Kirk serves clients throughout the Midwest through a team of technical staff based out of Billings Montana focusing heavily on Professional Services and Healthcare verticals.
Passionate about proving the value of technology through performance with his clients, Kirk works with some of the top companies in the state and region. Notably, Crowley Fleck, Kirk provides outsourced helpdesk services enabling the internal IT team to accomplish the projects required of a double digit growth law firm.
Kirk is an active member in the business community awarding him the 40 Under 40 award in Billings Montana. Kirk also serves on the Economic Development Board Authority and focuses on the economic betterment of the businesses he serves.
Kirk holds an associate’s degree in computer and electronics and numerous industry certifications throughout his career and is a member of a national peer group in his industry.
