Jon Langford

Jon has been a professional DJ since 1988.

He started his career on the South Coast in the town's of Poole & Bournemouth playing to capacity crowds at well known local nightclubs The Venue, Madisons, Remix, The Academy & Zig Zags.

His mix of upfront/uplifting house music and a desire to entertian as well as educate the crowd soon made him a popular and respected DJ'ing figure. He was holding down gigs from Thursday through to Saturday weekly including a stint at then Super Club Slinky.

In 1996 Jon became resident DJ at one of the South's most prestigious venues - The Manor. An old mansion house in the heart of the New Forest where clubbers would travel from miles around to hear such DJ'ind talent as Tony De Vit, Paul Van Dyk, Sasha, Carl Cox, John Digweed, Danny Rampling, Ian Ossia, Boy George to name a few.

At the same time Jon began to dabble in music production and his first release under the guise Knuckleheadz "House Rocca" was swiftly signed up by Tripoli Trax and became Tony De Vit's tune of 1997. Alongside Warren Clarke their hard house music production of chunky beats, funky basslines and in your face stabs sounds was applied to artists such as Sandy B, Tony Di Bart, Kylie, Justin Bourne and labels such as Tidy Trax, Tripoli Trax, React, Champion, Nukleuz, Positiva, Sony and EMI.

In 1999 when the Manor closed Jon headed to the big smoke where he teamed up with Steve Hill to produce under names such as Volts Wagen, Mr Bishi & Neon Lights - all which have left their mark in hard dance history for thier up for it productions and feel good effect!

As a now established DJ, Producer & Remixer Jon travelled the World with his distinctive chunky hard house sound to countries such as Japan, Hong Kong, USA, Holland, Australia & New Zealand.

As the hard dance scene diminished in the UK Jon headed back South to his home town of Bournemouth where he continues to DJ regularly at Bars & Clubs playing more of that well-known feel good upfront house that Jon has always been known for.
