I have recently finished my PhD at the Department of Biological Applications and Technologies (University of Ioannina) entitled as "Diversity and distribution patterns of Lepidoptera and Orthoptera in Greece and their responses to local and global climate change". I mainly focused on species responses to climate change between years and across different habitat types as well as on diversity patterns and how these change along environmental gradients (e.g. altitude).
My current involvement in local and national monitoring programmes for arthropods has expand my taxonomic interest (spiders, Odonata) but most importantly, my research questions regarding the "optimal" strategy for effective monitoring schemes in Europe.
