A native of the Los Angeles area, Koollos Phillips attended Monroe Elementary School and Charles Evans Hughes Middle School in Long Beach. After receiving his secondary school diploma from David Starr Jordan High School in Long Beach, he then enrolled at Long Beach City College. Koollos Phillips also studied at Coastline Community College, where he pursued a general studies curriculum.
After completing his education, Koollos Phillips went on to serve as a courier with Taxaccon, a tax services company also located in Long Beach. Over the course of four years, he handled a variety of back office and customer-facing duties, including visitor services and document submission.
Mr. Phillips also stands out as the former owner of an independent record label, through which he arranged and recorded the album Jelly's First Jam by the artist Angelica. He now focuses on seeking out real estate opportunities and is a frequent attendee at real estate industry seminars. In his free time, he enjoys working with under-resourced young people in inner city neighborhoods.
