Krishna Vijay S. V. R.
I am a simple guy with unending curiosity and zeal to learn and know. I wish to be a master of everything in this world and beyond.
I am an engineer and innovator with great observation and penchant for knowledge. I day dream and tinker concepts in my mind all the time, but when it comes to making them into reality, I get my hands working until I see that come to life.
Since childhood, I was very enthusiastic and passionate in doing science projects. I used to participate in every science fair held by my school. In secondary school, I invented a control system that turns off a gas stove based on a timer so that I don't burn my food or spill my milk because I left it on the burning stove unattended.
In college, I got into robotics and college robotics club. In my final year, I did a mini project to track multiple objects under occlusion in 3 dimensions using a 2 webcams in a stereo-vision system.
After college, I had interned in CEERI-Chennai and ventured into wearable medical devices and Brain Computer Interfaces. There I made India's first Mind-controlled Wheelchair and an ECG classification algorithm.
Currently, I am making educational videos tailored to Indian audience in tier 3 cities and villages with lectures in their languages.
I have worked in many fields including embedded systems, robotics, signal and image processing and wearable interfaces. However, I always find it hard to fix one field as my specialty. I find every field of technology is interlinked with everything else and with science.
My ambition is to find out answers to some of the greatest questions for humanity like how our brain and body are super efficient and versatile in performing varied tasks and how the whole universe came to be and functions!
In my free time, I write poetry in 5 Indian languages, practice music and singing, do beatboxing and feast on knowledge from Khanacademy, Coursera, EdX and Quora!
