Kym’s true purpose in life is to make sure everyone she comes in contact with knows they have a story to tell and lessons to teach. Kym is an EMMY AWARD WINNING Anchor/Reporter/Producer who is running the MaiTai Global Extreme Tech Challenge in partnership with Sir RIchard branson and the world's largest consumer electronics show, CES. She is also building a startup, a video training platform. Prior to this she was Executive Producer/Reporter at PandoDaily after spending four years at Forbes where she built and ran the video department on the West Coast as well as wrote a blog and contributed regularly to the magazine. Her favorite article was on fellow Summiteer Ido Leffler, CEO of YesTo. The companion video to that piece was the only piece nominated in the “Interview/Feature Segment” category in the 2012 Emmy competition in the SF Chapter. The highlight of each week at Forbes was being on Fox News Channel Saturday mornings at 8am as part of the “Forbes On Fox” broadcast. She also appeared on NBC 11's pressHere monthly. She continues to appear on NBC 11 as well as CBS as an expert in technology. Career: Kym’s worked in the news business for 18 years during which she’s covered business, sports, and general news. In no particular order here are some highlights: * One of the first web-centric video reporters doing business news for ON24 Financial in San Francisco (1998). Energy Reporter - doing live up-to-the-minute video updates on the latest in power, natural gas, natural gas liquids and oil hourlies, dailies, and futures for Energy News Live. I moved up to become the West Coast Bureau Chief within eight months. The first online video reporter to be accepted into the Capital Press Corp. in Sacramento. * Business News Anchor and General Assignment Reporter for KRON 4 in San Francisco. * Morning Anchor in the San Francisco Bay Area, also filled in doing weather and traffic. * First Female Sports Director in the San Francisco Bay Area * Moonlighted on the weekends as a Sports Anchor at ABC in Sacramento. *Racing Reporter - (She continues to work for Comcast Sports Net's racing show). * Football Sideline Reporter - Pac 10 football broadcasts * Fill-in Anchor/Reporter for the 49ers Insider Show. * Play-By-Play/Color Commentary for the Professional Golf League broadcasts on Comcast Sports Little Known Facts: * Kym was a professional water skier who was #3 in the region for collegiate trick skiing in 1992.
