DJ. LD TURNING HIS DREAM INTO REALITY DJ. LD, aka Tino Mills, a Pittsburgh, PA. Native, raised in Atlanta, GA. has been loving music since he was 8 years old. While in elementary school, Tino has learned how to play different instruments like: The Tuba (bass), Trombone, and the Baritone from Sonny Emory Jr. and his father Sonny Emory Sr., who both are singer and drummer for Earth, Wind, and Fire. In high school, young Tino continued to play the very same instruments in the band and in music concerts. Although Tino was able to play instruments well, he wanted to learn more, so he learned how to read and write the music he was playing in high school along with other songs from his older brother, Kelvin Jones- a famous song writer and producer, who was not only a backup singer for Patti Labelle, and Kenny Loggins, but a trumpet player for Earth, Wind, and Fire. After many years of practicing, playing, reading, and writing music, Tino wanted to do this professionally. He began making beats, writing songs, and working on the turn tables. Making money off his craft gave him another idea: become a DJ, so that’s exactly what he did. Being under the wings of DJ Logic- who has over 15 years of experience, and being a part of the “Super Friends”, Tino aka DJ. LD was now ready to take off into a new direction. From block parties, to birthdays, to private parties, DJ. LD wants to take his 4 years of experience to a higher level. What is his primary goal? To be a music pioneer, a legend. Behind this talented man are talented craftsmanship, dedication, and determination. What’s next for DJ. LD? To soar to the top! Working the club scene is next on the agenda. Wanting to tour across the country, meet new people, other djs is also on his list of goals to accomplish. With the path to success looking bright, there is no way to go but up.
