Svetlana Petrova LAERTA

Dear guests,
my name is Svetlana Petrova.
I am a professional equestrian photographer.
I live in Russia but work worldwide. I used to sign my works with my real name, however, some time ago I decided to work under the pseudonym Laerta.
Laerta is the name of my beloved horse who opened a whole new world of horses for me, taught me to love it unconditionally, with all my heart. She showed to me that a close contact, of a somewhat telepathic nature, is the ideal means of communication between a human being and a horse.
It so happened that I had to part with her. Since then I tried to find a horse which could replace her in my life but failed. I realized then that there is possibly only one horse in this world for each of us and it is the horse that becomes a half of your heart.
It turned out to be impossible to live with a half of my heart lost; hence I found a way to regain Laerta. We have been happy together for many years by now.
Paying a sincere tribute to this horse, I sign all my works with her name - LAERTA.
