My name is Rob and I am a father, a husband and a secret Kelly Clarkson fan!

For as long as I can remember, gardening has always been my release. It has given me a chance to escape into the environments I created and really appreciate nature at the most basic of levels. My love for gardening began with looking after my grandparents garden and I can remember losing myself in digging the beds over, working from their side door and back around the garden in a systematic way.

Fast forward a few years and I went on to study Landscape Architecture followed by an additional year studying for a graduate diploma.I knew early on that I didn't want to be locked up in an office and had plans of setting up my own gardening business. That way I could be outside working my magic in people's gardens. Gardening comes very naturally to me although I struggled initially to get my head around the Latin names of everything. As it happens, I found that word association works really well. For example,with the 'Forsythia' plant, the only way I could recall its name was to think of Bruce Forsythe!
