I know who I am and I am unapologetic about it. I am Latasha Louise McMillan, 23 years young. I am from Durham, N.C by way of many places. My goals and aspiration first and foremost is to be happy and to help my community. That is the very reason I also decided to join the military, and have been an active reservist for 3 years. I currently have been working for a nonprofit for almost 10 years. I pride myself that all the work that I do maybe brought back to my community. I am skilled in the areas of speech, as some would say I have the “gift of gab”. I have been invited to host charity and recreational events .My people person skills is the reason I have pursued a career in public relations although my major does not reflect that. I am a Spanish major which would assist in my ability to reach the largest growing population in America, which is Hispanic. I also decided to pursue Spanish because the amount of Afro influences in Latin America. I do not think that people of color have enough representation and or support to further their businesses. I have been giving the opportunity to do brand consulting which has become my area of expertise surprisingly. My future goals are to have my own management company, and to be able to teach business skills to minorities. If my plans do not work out I plan on going active duty.
