Born in London, Lauder was raised and educated in the UK. After a commission of military service, serving in West Africa and training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst he embarked upon his lifelong dream of making movies.

Lauder moved to Los Angeles in 2002.

He started at bottom, working his way up through production, carving out a career for himself 1st AD-ing for renowned directors David LaChapelle (Rize), Larry Clarke (Kids, Bully), Alejandro Inarritu (Babel, 21 Grams), and most recently Sam Raimi (Spiderman 1-3, Drag me to Hell, FanBoy, Oz).

Now, with more than a decade of experience working in film, music videos and commercials, Lauder has achieved notable recognition as an accomplished 1 AD and Line Producer.

His first movie as Writer/Producer was the award winning CARJACK (winner CIFF, Audience & Grand Jury Awards and Academy Award nominee for best live action short.)

Since then Lauder has been hired to produce several films and trailers, a 2hr documentary film special for the History Channel, web series for YouTube's most popular niche channels, and dozens of commercials and events in the US and abroad.

He now has a handful of creative properties optioned and several exciting motion picture and web projects in development.
