Laura Aydelotte
A lifelong bibliophile, I recently received my PhD in English Literature at the University of Chicago with an interdisciplinary research focus on Literature and Art History in the Renaissance and middle ages. I will complete my MLIS at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in December, 2013 with a certificate in Special Collections. I have work experience at the Newberry Library, Chicago, where I served as the Interim Assistant Director for the Center for Renaissance Studies and helped to manage a consortium of 50 universities, plan programs, provide research assistance to visiting scholars, students and members of the general public, and teach show and tell sessions with Newberry materials dating from year 1 to the 20th century. I have teaching experience as a university lecturer at both the University of Chicago and DePaul University.
