Laura Schmitt

Hello,

My name is Laura Schmitt and I am a senior at The Pennsylvania State University. I am pursing a bachelor degree in Public Relations with a minor in Communication Arts & Sciences. I am a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). I am involved in PRSSA's Event Planning and Thon committees. THON is the largest student run philanthropy in the World. Since its start in 1977, Penn State students have raised over $78 million dollars for the Four Diamonds Fund. This fund directly helps pediatric cancer patients and their families at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. THON has changed my view on life immensely and has shown me how beautiful life can be when people come together for a great cause.
