I'm starting to play with what may be a creative side. Just used oil pastels and pencils to draw a pommegranite. I like it! And a blank canvas at my house, leaning against a wall for a few years now, is calling to me lately to put something on it.
I really enjoy hearing people's life stories and getting a feel for them through their richness of experiences, lessons learned, and contributions to work and family. Simple stories, but heroic too, with their own grandeur when they reflect stick-to-it-iveness amid adversity. I'd like to write about some of the people who have shared their stories with me as part of my work helping them make career transitions.
I love being in nature, walking, noticing the sky and the trees. I work hard in my garden and I like the exertion, but sometimes I go at it way too hard.
The variety of plants... truly, I'd like one of everything! I feed birds and squirrels and watch for hawks and get pretty happy when I see the blue heron at a neighborhood lake.
Learning new things is my passion - keeping current. Give me a challenge and I'm on it! Learning social media has been fun. I want to learn website design.
I care about people getting a fair shot at an income, an education. I care about the planet and would like to see us do something, fast, about global climate change.
My husband and daughter mean the world to me. They are such good people.
