Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Laura Suarez is a senior at Syracuse University. She is expected to graduate in May 2012 with a dual degree major in Advertising and Marketing as well as a degree in Psychology. Laura is currently gaining professional experience and furthering her skills at The Other Side Group as a social media intern. She is also an account services intern at Grey Communications and also spends time doing volunteer service at Hogar El Buen Pastor (The Good Sheppard) in old San Juan. Laura just completed an internship assignment in Shanghai China where she worked for Non-Profit Incubator (NPI), non profit organization dedicated to the socio-economic advancement of the Chinese citizens. There she had the opportunity to learn about the Chinese culture in a business setting as well as basic mandarin. Throughout her time at Syracuse University, Laura has been actively involved in many aspects of student’s life, including being a member of the Alpha Phi Fraternity and the Raices Dance Troup. Out side of class, Laura enjoys dancing and doing mosaics. She also has a passion for traveling, movies, Facebook and work on projects with an “out of the box” flavor. She is very interested in unique opportunities and expanding her network.
