Laureen Rwatirera Chivere
Learning Strategist, Career Coach, and Facilitator in Amsterdam, Netherlands
I'm Laureen Rwatirera Chivere — a global talent and transformation leader, board director, and speaker working at the intersection of AI, learning, and the future of work. My career bridges Africa, Europe, and global organisations, and my work is shaped by 20+ years of building executive careers while raising four sons across three continents — without a playbook.
My story in brief:
Born in Zimbabwe. Built a 20-year career across South Africa. In 2011, with one toddler and another on the way, Mark and I made a crazy decision: we quit our jobs to co-found Treamio, a learning consultancy Mark leads today, where I remain involved. Three more sons arrived during those entrepreneurial years, and we built the business and our family in parallel. In 2019, we relocated to the Netherlands, where we're now raising four teens and staying close to trends, friends, faith, and good food :)
What I do today:
I'm VP of Talent & Chief Learning Officer at Prosus (€270B market cap, 90+ portfolio companies, ~45,000 employees in 100+ countries). Previously, I was VP of Organisational Development and CLO at ASML (€420B market cap), where my team won the ROI Institute's Implementation Award for enterprise-wide adoption of the ROI Methodology.
Across roles, I've led talent transformations spanning €750B+ in enterprise value, designed operating models across six continents, and built signature programmes including Prosus 10X — a Silicon Valley leadership immersion for 76 senior leaders in partnership with Duke Corporate Education — and the Prosus Global Talent & Learning Summit, convening HR leaders from across the ecosystem. Most recently I scaled an AI-first culture across a global workforce, training 13,500 people in AI and reaching 57,000 AI agents across the ecosystem — in just 5 months. The journey continued with the Prosus Got AI Talent global competition, culminating at the Prosus Global Leadership Summit in Shenzhen.
Board & governance:
Across my career, I've served on nine board and advisory mandates spanning Europe and Africa. In Europe, these include the Executive Advisory Board of Cornerstone OnDemand, the Executive Education Advisory Council at IMD Business School, the International Advisory Board of Radboud University's Nijmegen School of Management, and the Board of Trustees of the American School of The Hague. Across Africa, I served as Chairperson of Enke: Make Your Mark, Founder & Chairperson of Organising for Africa, Advisory Board Member of United Way, and Board Member of Volunteer Africa. I also sit on the Conference Board's Leadership Council and have chaired executive learning steering committees at Prosus and ASML.
What I'm known for:
AI in HR. Talent and learning at scale. Transformation that actually sticks. I keynote globally on these themes — most recently at the Emerging Women Leaders Conference Berlin and AI House Amsterdam, with the Mother & Child AI Hackathon on Mother's Day, 10 May 2026 — and I'm a 2026 EU Women Leaders programme participant and Vital Voices GROW Fellow.
I speak across five domains: AI and the future of work, talent and transformation, leadership, women in leadership, and learning that drives business outcomes.
What I believe:
The best careers aren't planned — they're designed in dialogue with the life you actually want. The best organizations grow people who grow other people. And the future of HR isn't about replacing humans with AI; it's about using AI to finally do the human parts well.
What I'm open to:
Keynote speaking, executive education partnerships, and select advisory and non-executive director conversations.
