Lauren Burnam

Lauren Burnam is a first year freshman at the University of Georgia. She has wanted to attend UGA for several years. In fact it was the only school she applied to. One of the main reasons she wanted to go to The University of Georgia is because she wanted to become a member of the Redcoat Marching Band. Lauren has been in marching band for six years, since she was in the seventh grade, and plays the alto saxophone. She loves marching band not only because it challenges her, but also because it is where she has made her best and longest friendships. Lauren has also played soccer for several years and has enjoyed competing with and against some of the greatest soccer players in the state of Georgia. Lauren is involved in the Wesley Foundation’s freshman outreach program called Freshley. The Wesley foundation is the Methodist college ministry program at UGA. Meeting with her small group every monday is the highlight of Lauren’s week. It helps her grow in her relationship with the Lord as well as make friends who have the same beliefs as her. She plans on going on a mission trip during her spring break with Freshley.

Lauren has two siblings an older sister named Shelby and a younger brother named Eric. Shelby is a sophomore at UGA and is also a member in the Redcoat Band (pictured right). Eric also plans on attending The University of Georgia when he graduates from highschool in a year and a half.
