Laurence Grosbaum is a Managing Director of Twin Focus Capital Partners, leading the company’s Portfolio Advisory Group, which handles multiple duties ranging from portfolio risk management and risk reduction, asset apportionment, investment instrument trade, and also reports and portfolio assessments for clientele. He also works directly with a few select families and institutions in an advisory capacity.

Mr. Grosbaum is both a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) as well as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He attended college at the University at Buffalo School of Management where he received a BSBA degree focusing upon Financial Analysis, Management Information Systems (MIS), and the Registered Accounting Program. Later, Mr. Grosbaum attended graduate studies at Boston University, where he focused on Mathematical Finance, which included aspects of probability theory, operations research, finance math using stochastic methodology, software development for mathematical finance, multivariate analysis and stochastic optimal control & investment.

In the past, Mr. Grosbaum worked for KPMG, Babson Capital Management and The Private Edge Group, and has worked for Twin Focus for over nine years. Mr. Grosbaum has deep experience in the capital markets, including in auditing and attestation, accounting and financial reporting, portfolio optimization and analysis, and quantitative analysis and modeling. He was also an early adopter of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and active beta strategies.
