Leonard Gulotta

A longtime New Jersey resident, Leonard Gulotta heads AKF Group as partner and provides mechanical systems design solutions. He and his team have extensive experience in designing and installing advanced refrigeration, air conditioning, and heating systems. Leonard Gulotta has a particular emphasis on sustainable energy-efficiency technologies--such as cogeneration and solar--that also exert cost savings.

Mr. Gulotta provides clients with a compelling value proposition in his straightforward approach to ensuring the successful completion of mechanical systems design projects. He takes time to fully explain complex issues related to systems distribution and coordinates work with well-qualified contractors and architects. Personally creating project specifications and working on preliminary drawings, he ensures that optimal construction methods are employed.

One major project that he engaged on involved the completion of the 80,000-square-foot University Hall, an academic building on the William Paterson University campus in Wayne, New Jersey. The $40 million building was completed a half year ahead of schedule and encompasses 16 general-use classrooms, as well as research facilities. Featuring a green roof that will be planted with grass, the project is in the process of being certified as LEED Gold by the U.S. Green Building Council.
