A special operations employee with the Department of Defense since 1995, Leroy Stotelmyer maintains a close watch on technology transfer among aviation, commercial, and government entities. Leroy Stotelmyer previously spent 8 years as a test and certification pilot with the Federal Aviation Administration. In this role, he supported Department of Defense operations in the Middle East by maintaining annual inspection requirements for military aircraft compliance and certifications.

Mr. Stotelmyer holds a bachelor of science in aerospace engineering from Embry Riddle Aeronautical Engineering, a master’s degree in systems engineering from the University of Southern California, and a master’s degree in math from Duke University. He has received professional accolades such as the GM Hughes Electronics Malcom Curries for Innovation and Engineering Award, and has attended industry events such as the Washington and Colorado Space Symposiums.

Outside of work, Mr. Stotelmyer stays active through a number of water-based recreational activities such as surfing and fishing. He also enjoys playing golf.
