Jodi Bortz

I am a music educator with over 15 years of experience teaching flute and piano to students of all ages and levels. I developed an online tool, www.LessonSpark.com that I think solves several problems of teaching music lessons. First, it provides an easy tool for interacting with students online, while keeping all of their information completely private. Second, it provides recruiting and studio management tools for teachers. Third, it provides tools for students to track progress that teachers can monitor to teach more effectively. I've been using the tool with my own teaching studio for some time now, and have recently made it available for all to use. I'm also Artist-Lecturer at the Moravian College Music Institute, specializing in the Suzuki flute method. I am a member of Allegro Flutes, a dynamic trio performing an ecclectic mix of classics to modern and popular pieces. I also perform locally as a soloist.
