Lia Dean

An experienced marketing and new business development executive, Lia Dean has served Capital One in McLean, Virginia, as senior vice president of national expansion for nearly two years. She has spent additional time as managing vice president of national expansion and managing vice president of corporate strategy. Lia Dean previously held positions such as engagement manager, associate principal, and partner in the technology, media, and telecommunications practice at McKinsey & Company in New York City. During her time at McKinsey, she effectively managed a team of 30 staffers and multiple managers across five unique divisions over the course of various high-level projects.

Ms. Dean graduated from Yale University as a national merit scholar with a degree in history. While working toward her undergraduate degree, she served as managing editor of Yale Daily News and interned with a number of prominent organizations, including the Wall Street Journal and CNN. Following her graduation, Lia Dean received a master of business administration in marketing from the MIT Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
