An artist, living for forty years on an island among the sand dunes, speaking with a foreign-sounding down-east brogue, having the ocean as your backyard and Bird Shoals and Shackleford Banks as your playground, is a life, which books are written and pictures are painted.

I've passionately done both for twenty-five years and have immortalized memory-scapes in my heart, in my paintings and in my mind.
