Stone in a River

My writing is similar to a stone in a river, i am

stuck and not moving until a strong current pushes me free,

then i flow for awhile down the river, new ideas

are in the current. along the way i become lodged

in creveces, unable to move forward with the current.

This process goes on for awhile, over time i

will flow into a shallow pool of water waiting

at the end of the river, polished and smooth,

the long river has shaped the stone and brought out its inner shine.
