Lisa Gueldenzoph Snyder, PhD

Dr. Lisa Gueldenzoph Snyder is a full professor and chairperson for the Department of Business Education at North Carolina A&T State University where she teaches classes in business communication, e-commerce, and computer applications. She is also the Graduate Coordinator for the Master of Arts in Teaching program, the academic advisor for the Aggies Toastmasters club, and member of several committees, including the University Graduate Council, Teacher Education Council, and NCATE Steering Committee.

Lisa earned a bachelor's degree in business education from Northern Michigan University in 1989, a master's degree in business education from Bowling Green State University in 1993 and a doctorate in Higher Education Administration from BGSU in 2000 before pursuing her current position in North Carolina.

Professional service includes the Association for Business Communication, Association for Research in Business Education--Delta Pi Epsilon, National Business Education Association, North Carolina Business Education Association, Organizational Systems Research Association, and Southern Business Education Association.

In Ohio, Lisa received the Northwest Ohio Business Teachers Association's Collegiate Teacher of the Year Award and the OBTA Distinguished Service Award; the Faculty Award for Academic Excellence from the BGSU Higher Education Program; and BGSU's Shanklin Award for her dissertation research. In North Carolina, Lisa has received the North Carolina Business Education Association's Collegiate Teacher of the Year Award and Member of the Year Award, and the Member of the Year from the Southern Business Education Association. She has received the Delta Pi Epsilon Innovative Instructional Practices Outstanding Paper Award and the national Meada Gibbs Outstanding Teacher Award from the Association for Business Communication.
