Lisa Orazietti
Leadership Team in Far Hills, New Jersey
New Jersey resident Lisa Orazietti has a passion for working to prevent deaths from sudden cardiac arrest. Her commitment to this goal began after she witnessed an 11-year-old New Jersey cheerleader experience sudden cardiac arrest at her sons’ Pop Warner football practice. Although the cheerleader received CPR, the premises lacked an automated external defibrillator (AED), and Lisa Orazietti and the other parents in attendance watched helplessly as the young girl died on the field.
This tragedy taught Lisa Orazietti the importance of CPR and AEDs, and today she serves as a board member of the Janet Fund, a charity named in honor of the young New Jersey cheerleader. As a board member, she helps to lead the Janet Fund in its mission of furnishing CPR training and AEDs to schools and other organizations.
Lisa Orazietti’s passion for preventing sudden cardiac deaths has also propelled her to establish Lisa with Heart, a company through which she provides CPR training to gyms, personal trainers, coaches, and yoga instructors. Drawing on her experience as a schoolteacher as well as her certification from the American Heart Association, Ms. Orazietti specializes in creating a comfortable, nurturing learning environment, one pleasantly devoid of the pressures found in many CPR-instruction settings.
