Liz Ng'ang'a

I am a social scientist and communications specialist with vast experience gained working in the research and development (R&D) sector, corporate public relations and mainstream journalism.

In R&D, I have worked for the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (www.icipe.org), Nairobi, Kenya; the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO); Scidev.Net, a London-based online portal that provides free access to science and development news, and TWAS, the World Academy of Sciences, which is based in Trieste, Italy.

I hold a PhD focusing on science, technology and development from the Open University, UK; an MSc in African Studies from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and a BA in Literature and English language.

My hobbies include: creative fiction and non-fiction literature (writing and reading); travel and good food.
