Before beginning his career as an attorney and psychologist, Lloyd Sokolow graduated cum laude with a bachelor of arts in English and psychology from the University of Buffalo. He remained at the university for his graduate studies, in which he earned distinction as a University Fellow on his way to completing a master of arts in social sciences. Lloyd Sokolow’s tenure at the University of Buffalo culminated with his receipt of a PhD in psychology and a Juris Doctor..

Mr. Sokolow subsequently pursued dual career tracks in psychology and law, directing addiction therapy facilities in the Northeast and serving as an attorney for the Town of Knox, New York. In 1980, he merged his professional interests by establishing a law firm in Schenectady, New York, that represents clients in healthcare and other matters.

Mr. Sokolow continued working through this firm until he relocated to South Florida, where he practices at a Delray Beach law office. A member of the American Bar Association, the Broward County Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association, he provides counsel in federal and immigration matters. Also a member of the American Psychological Association, Mr. Sokolow draws on his healthcare background to advise on the establishment of treatment facilities.
