Casey Hrynkow

I'm Casey Hrynkow. I'm a Leading by Design Fellow at California College of the Arts. I'm looking for a way to make local produce more accessible & less expensive in my work at CCA.

When I'm not a student, I'm a teacher at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. And my primary role is as principal of Herrainco Brand Strategy + Design, a company I founded with my husband, Ray over 30 years ago. Trained in graphic design, I have morphed into a facilitator and researcher, fascinated by the many ways — visual, verbal and cultural — that we understand each other as human beings. That has led me to a new specialty in innovation leadership.

I'm a passionate foodie, mom, lover of animals and an occasional gym junkie. I'm building a place of refuge for me and my children in Tofino, BC, the edge of North America where the only thing between us and Japan is a whole lot of water. It's like standing on a ledge — a windy, salty, magical ledge.
