Lois Bruckno

Lois Bruckno teaches Physical Education at J. H. Taggart Elementary School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Deeply knowledgeable in topics of health and wellness as well as athletics, Lois Bruckno has been a valued member of the faculty at Taggart Elementary for several years.

The coordinator of events like the American Heart Association’s Jump Rope For Heart and Hoops For Heart, Lois Bruckno has coached a variety of sports over her career as an educator, including softball, basketball, bowling, and tennis. Lois Bruckno also organizes community outreach programs and works in peer mediation and conflict resolution, building a strong, learning-oriented environment at Taggart. In addition, Lois Bruckno has served as a Bully Prevention Facilitator for a program sponsored by Physicians for Social Responsibility.

Lois Bruckno attended Temple University for her Bachelor of Science in Education and Arcadia University for her Master of Science in Health Education. In her spare time, Lois Bruckno enjoys gardening, snorkeling, and photography. Lois Bruckno often participates in walkathons for charitable causes like cancer research.
