The executive vice president of finance and administration with CTI Biopharma from 1991 to 2017, Louis Bianco facilitated a company expansion into the European Union with a consolidated budget of $175 million per year. His other accomplishments with CTI included assisting with the product approval/commercial launch of the leukemia drug Trisenox and helping to negotiate 70 creative financing transactions with a combined value of $2.4 billion. Beyond this, Louis Bianco spearheaded comprehensive community relations initiatives to benefit charitable organizations such as the Washington Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.

Outside of the professional environment, Mr. Bianco is an avid outdoors enthusiast who particularly enjoys hiking and snorkeling. He is also an experienced sailor and has been participating in competitive open water events for more than three decades. He holds a captain's license through the United States Coast Guard that allows him to operate vessels as large as 50 GRT (gross register tonnage).
