A native of Haiti and a born teacher, Ludovic Comeau Jr. is a true renaissance man. He became involved in business management at a very young age in a family enterprise, and besides earning a doctor of philosophy degree in business economics, Ludovic Comeau Jr. holds a law degree, a master's in business administration (MBA), a master's in economics, and a master's in French literature.

In 2001 Dr. Comeau joined DePaul University, Chicago, the biggest Catholic university in the U.S., where he has taught economics since 2001. He also served there as a Campus Director for six years. In 2006 he became a tenured professor. At DePaul Professor Comeau has taught various classes such as Money, Finance, and Crises; and Applying Economics: A Game-theoretic Approach.

While teaching full-time, Ludovic Comeau Jr. has still managed to publish many articles, and two books. The first book, released in 2007, Bâtisseurs du Lendemain (Builders of the Morrow), is a 688-page French-language novel based on the history, politics, and economics of Haiti. In 2010, he co-published a seminal collection for the first global Haitian think-tank, the Group for Reflection and Action for a New Haiti (GRAHN-Monde). That 650-page collection is titled Construction of a New Haiti: Vision and Contribution of GRAHN.

Married with five daughters, Dr. Comeau still found the time to be the project leader and jury coordinator for the Diaspora Challenge Initiative in 2016-2017, where he helped manage a worldwide competition to generate the ten best investment ideas for the global Haitian Diaspora to support Haiti.
